• Student is hired as temporary paid employee

• Worker’s Compensation Insurance applies

• Minimum of 75 hours completed in 1 semester/term

Internship Level Project

• Student completes task or project for a company

• Organization provides direction, not supervision

• Project should take 60-75 hours to complete in a term

Unpaid Internship

• Student not considered employee of company

• Student insurance coverage is through college

• Minimum of 60 hours completed in 1 semester/term

Job Shadow

• Student spends a day or two observing a worksite

• Student insurance coverage is through college

• Minimum of 8 hours
