Road to College
Students and Parents are invited to attend the virtual Road to College, hosted by the Hispanic Scholarship Fund! This is a FREE, bilingual, 90-minute webinar for students in 6th – 12th grade and their families, where you will receive valuable information about how to prepare, plan, and pay for a college education!
HSF’s Road to College is tailored to address the needs of middle and high school students and their parents. People of all ethnicities and backgrounds are encouraged to attend.
Presentations will be delivered by subject-matter experts, in both English and Spanish, on the following topics:
Preparing for and applying to college
Researching financial aid and scholarship opportunities
Understanding the real cost of a college education
Maximizing the college experience
Preparing for a career after college

Service Academy Night (Thursday, Sept 3 @ 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM (Must register to attend)
As your Representative in the 21st Congressional District, it is my honor to host Service Academy Night for local young leaders who are interested in attending any of the following prestigious institutions: the United States Air Force Academy, the United States Military Academy, the United States Naval Academy, and the United States Coast Guard Academy.
This is an information session open to all high school students, families, teachers, guidance counselors, and administrators. Representatives from the Federal Service Academies and members of my staff will be on hand to discuss the nomination process and answer questions students may have.
Service Academy Night will be held on Thursday, September 3rd, 2020 from 5:30-7pm via Zoom. To register: bit.ly/CA21Service.

Fresno Area College Night - Virtual E-vent 2020 (Wed. September 9 from 5-8 PM)
This is a FREE live streaming event being made available to ALL of your high school students on September 9, 2020 and will be LIVE from 5-8 PM.
(All presentations will be live captioned for your deaf and hard of hearing students and all virtual booths and sessions will remain up on the website through the end of the year.)
Registered students will have access to all information sessions and one-on-one “virtual booths” to chat with college reps from around the state and the nation.
It’s a higher ed college search that is safe, easy and limitless.

Quest for College virtual information session (Sept. 12 @ 1PM)
Admissions representatives from Yale University, University of Southern California, Colorado College, University of Chicago, and Vanderbilt University invite you learn about their programs. The session will guide students through the process of making a college list, applying for admission and financial aid, and keeping the search process in perspective.
Representatives will discuss the latest updates from their campuses and QuestBridge - a national non-profit organization that helps talented low-income students attend the nation's best colleges.

130+ Coalition members will gather to share information about their schools and to answer your questions, live.
When
The event will take place over the course of two days, Sept. 16, from 6-10 p.m. and Sept. 17, from 7-10 p.m. (Please note: the event time is Eastern.)
Why
Coalition schools meet our eligibility requirements in the areas of access, affordability, and student success, making them smart college choices.
How
This virtual fair will be hosted via Zoom. Learn more on the Zoom website about how to join Zoom webinars, including details about required software and hardware.
Campus Week (September 14-17)
“Campus Week” which will be a series of Zoom webinars hosted by universities throughout the state September 14-17.
The attached document will have registration details and answers to FAQ’s.
Space on each individual webinar varies and is limited to the capacity of the hosting college’s Zoom account. So, the sooner students register, the more likely they will get a spot.
